Step One: Open
the blinkie template in paint shop pro, press 'Shift + D' this will
duplicate. Delete the old one - keep the newly copied. You should now
have Centre, Border, Border2 and Text in your layer box.
Step Two: Make
sure your 'Centre' is highlighted by clicking on it. Go to 'Selections
- Load/Save Selection - Load Selection from Alpha Channel'. Make
sure 'Centre' is highlighted there in the box and click 'Load'.
Step Three: Click your paint tool, select the colour you would like the centre of your blinkie to be and fll it in.
Step Four: Click
on the 'Border' in your layer pallette, go to 'Selections - Load/Save
Selections - Load Selection From Alpha Channel'. Load 'Border One'.
Choose a colour for your boder and fill it in with your fill tool.
Click 'Effects - 3D Effects - Inner Bevel'. Border two i delete. But if
you would like to use it, make sure 'Border Two' is selected in the
layers pallette and then go to 'Selections -
Load/Save Selections - Load Selection From Alpha Channel' Load 'Border
Two' Choose a colour and fill it in using the fill tool.

Step Five: Click
your text tool, choose your colour and size and what you want the
inside of your blinkie to say.. Be sure of how much space you have.
Ensure you have highlighted 'Text' in your layers box. Click
'selections - Select None' when you have your text in place. Then click
'Layers - Merge - Merge All (Flatten).
Step Six: Go
to 'Selections - Load/Save Selection - Dots One'. Choose your dots one
colour and fill, 'Selections - Select None' 'Edit - Copy'.. Paste into
Animation Shop as a new animation.
Step Seven: Click
undo (Edit - Undo) until you get to the stage before you loaded your
dots. Go to 'Selections - Load/Save selection - Dots Two'. Chhose your
colour and fill. 'Selections - Select None'. 'Edit - Copy'.. Paste into
Animation Shop after current frame.
Step Eight: Click undo again (Edit - Undo) until you reach before you load the dots. Go to 'Selections
- Load/Save selection - Dots Three' Choose your colour for the dots and
fill. 'Selections - select None'. 'Edit - Copy.. Paste in Animation
shop after the current frame.
Step Nine: Click the animation button to see if it worked.. Save.

Pictures if wanted.. Must be put into the layer along with the text, if it is a small still picture.
For
animated or big still pictures, a new canvas will need to be opened in
animation shop.. Much bigger than the blinkie. 'Edit - Copy' to copy
the canvas.. 'Edit - Paste' to paste the canvas onto itself so you
should now have the two frames. 'Edit - Paste' again, until you have
the number of frames you need to fit the animated picture on.. Ideally
this need to be three frames, the same as our blinkie. Click on the
blinkie and press 'Ctrl + A' to select all.. 'Ctrl + C' to copy all.
Click on your canvas and press 'Ctrl A' to select all.. 'Ctrl + E' to
paste all. Place your blinkie in the middle somewhere. Open the picture
you want to use, make sure it has three frames like the blinkie. If you
have a single picture.. 'Edit - Copy Edit - Paste' it onto itself until
you get the three frames. Click on the picture and press 'Ctrl + A' to
slelect all.. 'Ctrl + C to copy all. Click on your blinkie canvas,
'Ctrl + A' to select all.. 'Ctrl + E' to paste all. Place the picture
where you want it.
Crop if needed with the crop tool, nice and tidy.. Save.
